Iraqi PM lays foundation stone for the Iraqi-Chinese school building project

Iraq's Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi laid the foundation stone for the Iraqi-Chinese school building project, according to the Prime Minister's Media Office.

A statement by the media office said on Saturday that Kadhimi laid the foundation stone for the first stage of the school buildings project, which includes building 1,000 exemplary schools throughout Iraq, noting that this project is within the Iraqi-Chinese agreement.

Iraq and China signed 15 agreements late last year under the auspice of Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.

The agreements included building 1,000 exemplary school buildings by the Chinese government across Iraq.
