Kurdistan Region, UAE, Establish Economic Council

On Tuesday, the Kurdistan Region's Board of Investment announced that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the United Arab Emirates are trying to expand and develop their economic relations within the framework of the establishment of the UAE-Kurdistan Economic Council.
In a statement, the board said that its Chairman, Muhammad Shukri, received Ahmed Al Dhaheri, the Emirati Consul General in Erbil, pointing out that Shukri expressed his happiness with the initiative to establish the council, reiterating readiness to facilitate the matter for the sake of economic recovery.
In turn, the Emirati consul pointed to the importance of establishing this mutual council and also said that to develop investments and trade, they seek to open six banks to Kurdistan and aim to benefit from agricultural products.
