PUK President: Cooperation is Key for Establishing Unified Peshmerga Force

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), held a meeting in Washington with Congressman Robert Aderholt.

At the meeting, which was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, the Head of the Relations Bureau, they reviewed the political, economic, and security circumstances. The primary focus of the discussion was on preserving stability in the region and preventing disputes.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasised the PUK's commitment to resolving internal issues in the region and maintaining unity among political forces and parties. He stated, "Our objective is to establish effective governance and deliver quality services to our citizens. To accomplish this, we must conduct fair elections that promote stability in our Region."  

President Bafel emphasised: "The establishment of a unified Peshmerga force is crucial for safeguarding our Region and mitigating threats." He also stated that the cooperation and help of all sides are necessary for this endeavour.

"Effectively managing a critical industry such as energy necessitates innovative and national deliberation. Our endeavours are focused on establishing a framework that promotes positive outcomes and prosperity for all," he further added.
