PUK delegation participates in commemorating the Armenian Genocide

At the invitation of the Armenia Kurdistan Friendship League and the Armenian Youth Federation, on April 21, a Kurdish delegation consisting of the head of the martyrs and genocide board of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Chra Omar Saber, Baran Organization for Martyrs and Anfal Affairs, and International Kurdish Youth Organization arrived in the Armenian capital Yerevan to participate in the 177th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.
Within the framework of their visit, the delegation visited Yerevan State University and was warmly welcomed by Professor Vahram Petrosyan, dean of the Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan University.
The two sides discussed strengthening and enhancing relations between the two Kurdish and Armenian peoples. They also emphasized benefiting from Armenia's experience in introducing the genocide case and how to work on documenting evidence and materials available to prove the crimes.
Another part of the meeting focused on the need to continue relations and cultural exchanges, provide opportunities for visits and education, and participate in the activities of both countries.
Professor Petrosyan later expressed his support for strengthening relations between the Kurdish and Armenian peoples, saying: "There are many common and important points between the two sides that will be a valuable tool and a solid foundation for the development of diverse Kurdish-Armenian relations."
During their visit, the Kurdish delegation was also introduced to the Yerevan State University's Private Museum and its various departments.
Later, Chra Omar gave the logo of the Martyrs and Strugglers Office to Dean Petrosyan, as well as the book "Nergiz, An Angel in the Hell of 1988", a living document of the Anfal crime against the Kurds in English, was given to Yerevan University by the Baran Organization.
