Art and Literature 05:00 PM - 2021-12-28

Within the framework of the Slemani International Film Festival, a film named 'Ahmet Iki Gözüm' will be screened for the first time in Slemani.

The film talks about the life of the late Kurdish artist Ahmed Kaya.

The Festival organizers said, "this film shows the other hidden aspects of Kaya's life, in a way that we become from mere viewers to co-actors within the events of the film."

The film will be shown today at 07:00 pm in the City Cinema in Slemani.

The film 'Ahmet Iki Gözüm' is directed by Kurdish director Kani Rizgar, and it has been shown earlier this month at the Empire Cinemas in Erbil.

The film talks about the ceremony that was held to honor the famous Kurdish singer and artist Ahmet Kaya and the conflicts that occurred after the ceremony.

The film had previously been shown in many European countries, but it was delayed in the Kurdistan Region due to the closure of cinemas as a result of the pandemic.
