Conference titled “The Role of Women in the Political Field and Governmental Institutions” held in Sulaymaniyah

Under the supervision of the Sulaymaniyah Organizations Center of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and in the presence of the Governor of Sulaymaniyah, the Women’s Academic Board, in coordination with the Kurdistan Women’s Union, held a conference titled “The Role of Women in the Political Field and Governmental Institutions”
The conference began with a minute of silence in honor and respect for the souls of the martyrs, then Banaz Ramazan, Director of the Women’s Board at the Sulaymaniyah Organizations Center, gave a speech in which she shed light on the reasons why women did not advance to fill political and government positions, noting that several research will be presented during the conference.
For his part, Jaza Syed Majid, head of the Sulaymaniyah Organizations Center of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, said that the convening of the conference in itself confirms the important role of women in all fields, pointing to the role of late president, Mam Jalal, in supporting women.
