Shame on the spokesperson
Opinions 03:45 PM - 2023-04-09
Written by Fahim Ashik, a journalist and political activist from North Kurdistan.
Given the statement he issued on Friday in response to Turkey's attack on Sulaymaniyah Airport, it is unclear whether Jutyar Adel is the spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) or the Justice and Development Party.
The facts show that Turkey attacked, but the so-called KRG spokesperson accused the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and justified the attack.
The PUK currently controls Sulaymaniyah and that is a fact, but he portrays the situation as if the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) rules Erbil and Duhok in a completely smooth and pleasant manner!
Jutyar Adel made those statements one after the other but remained silent about the attacker.
It's a disgrace he couldn't simply address the attacker while blaming and accusing the PUK.
