Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, attended the graduation ceremony of 210 cadets.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, attended the graduation ceremony of 210 cadets at Qalachwalan Military College.
Following the ceremony, he said in a post on his Facebook account: “I extend my warmest greetings to you, dear Peshmerga, the defenders of the land, lives and property of the Kurdish people.
“I was pleased and honoured to accompany Mr Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region and Commander-in-Chief of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces, in attending the graduation ceremony of the fifth officer training course at Qalachwalan Military College.
“Two hundred and ten more brave and well-trained officers have now joined the ranks of the Peshmerga forces to defend the people and territory of Kurdistan. I extend my congratulations to these esteemed officers and their proud families.
“I also congratulate the officials of Qalachwalan Military College, as well as the teachers and trainers who have played an important role in the professionalisation of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces.”
