SDF Commander Visits Europe, Set to Meet French President in Paris

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, has arrived in Europe and held meetings with Italian officials as part of a diplomatic tour focused on developments in Syria.

During his visit to Rome, Abdi was received by officials from the Italian Foreign Ministry. Discussions centred on the adaptation of Kurdish institutions to the new political and administrative realities in Syria.

Abdi is also scheduled to visit France, where he is expected to meet French President Emmanuel Macron and the French Foreign Minister to discuss the latest developments in Syria and the future of Kurdish-administered areas.

The SDF Commander-in-Chief arrived in Italy on 17 June as part of his European tour.
