PUK President receives Lebanese Ambassador in Baghdad.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Khalil Abdullah, Lebanon’s Ambassador to Iraq, at Mam Jalal’s residence in Baghdad.

The situation in the region was assessed during the meeting, with both sides expressing a strong desire for a peaceful resolution to the tensions. They also stressed the importance of overcoming the current situation and reinforcing the principles of peace across the region.

President Bafel condemned previous attacks on Lebanon, stating that such actions run contrary to the principles upheld by the international community.

The meeting also underscored the importance of continued efforts to preserve existing understandings and secure a lasting ceasefire in Lebanon.
