Several Drone and Missile Attacks Intercepted Across Kurdistan Region, No Casualties Reported

Kurdistan Region Iraq Drone Attacks

Multiple drone and missile attacks targeted provinces across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq overnight, with most threats intercepted by air defence systems and security forces.

Several drones were destroyed in the skies over Erbil, while security forces successfully countered the attacks, while six missile and drone attacks were reported in Sulaymaniyah province, according to security sources, all of which were destroyed by security forces.

The Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish) said that several drones were shot down, adding that no casualties were reported.

According to the Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) – Iraqi Kurdistan, more than 470 attacks have targeted the Kurdistan Region since the beginning of the Iran war on 28 February.

The organisation also reports that 14 people have been killed (martyred) and over 90 others injured as a result of the ongoing strikes.
