Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in central London on Saturday for a “March to Stop the Far Right”, with many protesters criticising the right-wing Reform UK led by Nigel Farage, which is currently leading opinion polls.

The protest, organised by the Together Alliance and supported by trade unions and civil society groups, drew an estimated 50,000 participants, according to police figures reported by UK media.

Alongside placards opposing Reform UK and its anti-immigration policies, some demonstrators carried Iranian flags, as well as pro-Palestinian banners.

According to recent polling, Reform UK is ahead of the Labour Party led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as other established British parties. Zack Polanski, a senior figure in the Green Party of England and Wales, also took part in the march.

The Metropolitan Police reported that 25 arrests were made in connection with the demonstration, as well as a separate pro-Palestinian protest held on the same day.
