PUK VP Reaffirms Commitment to Protecting Kurdish Achievements

PUK VP’s meeting with members of Leadership Council in Sulaymaniyah.

During a meeting with the Leadership Council of Sulaymaniyah province, Rifaat Abdullah, Vice-President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), emphasised the city’s important and strategic position, stating that it is the party’s duty to serve it in a more effective manner.

The meeting was attended by Qubad Talabani, Supervisor of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal. Vice President Abdullah noted that the region is going through a sensitive and decisive period, adding that the PUK will continue to act as a factor of stability and a protector of the achievements of the Kurdish people.

Discussions also focused on organisational changes within the party. It was stressed that the renewal and restructuring of PUK institutions is not a media matter, but an organisational necessity based on a deep understanding of evolving conditions and new dynamics within party life.
