Peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia have entered their second day in Geneva, as diplomatic efforts intensify to seek an end to the ongoing war.

The talks, reportedly facilitated by the United States, are being closely watched by the international community amid indications of mounting pressure on Kyiv to make concessions in order to advance a potential settlement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has previously voiced concern over what he described as external pressure in the negotiation process, stressing that any agreement must safeguard Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that U.S. President Donald Trump has been involved in diplomatic discussions surrounding the talks, with differing perspectives emerging over the direction and pace of negotiations.

Key issues under discussion are believed to include territorial disputes, security guarantees and the broader political framework for ending hostilities. However, no formal breakthrough has yet been announced.

Further updates are expected as discussions progress.
