Two rounds of diplomatic negotiations, focusing on Ukraine and Iran, are scheduled to take place in Geneva on Tuesday, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday.

A U.S. delegation, including envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, is expected to meet Iranian representatives on Tuesday morning. Omani officials will attend and mediate the U.S.-Iran discussions, according to the source.

In the afternoon, Witkoff and Kushner will take part in trilateral talks with representatives from Russia and Ukraine.

U.S. President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Tehran following its crackdown on protesters and has reinforced the American naval presence in the region. At the same time, he is seeking to encourage both Ukraine and Russia to reach an agreement to end Moscow’s four-year invasion of Ukraine.

Separately, Axios reported that Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, received a message from the United States through Omani intermediaries.

The first round of negotiations between Iran and the United States was held on 6 February in Oman.
