PUK President Congratulates KIU on Its Founding Anniversary

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), sent a congratulatory message to Salahaddin Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU), on the anniversary of the founding of the KIU.

In his message, The PUK President stressed the importance of strengthening the spirit of harmony and joint action in the service of the public good.

"On the occasion of the thirty-second anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, I extend to you my warmest congratulations and wish you continued success and prosperity," President Bafel said in his message to the KIU.

"On this occasion, we express our appreciation and respect for the role you and the Kurdistan Islamic Union have played as a moderate force that has consistently been part of the solution, contributing to the protection of coexistence, harmony and brotherhood in our region," he added.

"On this anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to strengthening relations, coordination and cooperation between us, in order to work together to provide greater services for our dear people, safeguard our highest interests, and contribute to the building of a just and service-oriented government," he noted.
