Qubad Talabani and Fuad Hussein Discuss Political Developments in Baghdad

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with Iraq’s Foreign Minister Dr Fuad Hussein on Tuesday evening, 27 January 2026, in Baghdad.

The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, particularly the formation of new governments and the election of the President of the Republic.

Both sides agreed on the importance of finding solutions to all outstanding issues and overcoming the current political impasse. They also decided to continue their dialogue to achieve a positive outcome.
