Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani held a phone call with Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

According to a statement by the prime minister's media office, the two sides discussed developments in Syria in light of recent security events and their implications for regional stability, as well as the situation in Iraq.

The statement said that the Prime Minister stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue during this critical period, in a manner that guarantees the rights of all Syrian communities, preserves the country’s unity and security, and prevents terrorists from escaping from prisons and threatening the security and stability of Syria, Iraq, and the wider region.
