PUK President Calls for Calm and Dialogue Amid Tensions in Rojava

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said he is closely following developments in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighbourhoods with deep concern, expressing solidarity with the people of Rojava.

The following is PUK President’s full statement:

We are following developments in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya with deep concern, and my heart is with our people in west Kurdistan (Rojava) during this extremely difficult time.

I urge all parties to remain calm, act with wisdom, and address the situation through dialogue and responsible engagement.

I support all efforts aimed at easing tensions and resolving the issues through peaceful means.
