Rifaat Abdullah: Kurdistan Flag Symbolises Freedom, Peace and Unity

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) marked Kurdistan Flag Day on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, with the participation of PUK Vice President Rifaat Abdullah, Leadership Council members Stran Abdullah and Jaza Sayed Majid, PUK Spokesperson Karwan Gaznay, and other Bureau members.

In his speech at the ceremony, Rifaat Abdullah said that the Kurdistan flag is a sacred symbol of freedom and peace, reflecting the struggle and sacrifices of the Kurdish people. He described it as a unifying emblem of identity and solidarity, reaffirming their commitment to making every sacrifice to ensure it continues to fly proudly.
