PUK’s Darbaz Kosrat Holds Talks with Russian CG on Regional Developments

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul meets Maxim Rubin.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Relations Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Maxim Rubin, Consul General of Russia in the Kurdistan Region, at the PUK Political Bureau’s headquarters in Erbil today.
The meeting focused on recent developments in the Middle East and the broader political dynamics affecting Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Emphasis was placed on promoting peaceful coexistence within the framework of a federal Iraq, as well as addressing outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad in accordance with constitutional and legal provisions.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul noted that the PUK has recently engaged with Iraqi political parties to discuss solutions to ongoing challenges. He presented the party’s vision and programme for resolving political and administrative issues in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Turning to internal affairs, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul stated that talks with all political forces and parties would continue, with the aim of establishing a genuine balance of power and achieving positive, lasting solutions to the Region’s political conflicts.
