Iraqi Prime Minister Orders Full Relief Efforts for Flood-Affected Areas in Kurdistan Region

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani has instructed authorities to provide comprehensive relief to residents of the Kurdistan Region affected by recent floods.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, he directed the National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management at the Ministry of Interior, along with all relevant agencies, to mobilise assistance and support for those impacted. The Prime Minister also instructed the Ministry of Finance to allocate emergency funds to ensure all necessary relief measures are implemented promptly.

“This directive comes in response to the severe weather conditions that caused the devastating floods,” the statement said, emphasising the government’s commitment to support affected communities.
