Kurdistan VP Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa along with Andrew Bizley, British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received Andrew Bizley, British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, along with his accompanying delegation.

The meeting focused on the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region and security across Iraq, as well as the formation of the new cabinets in both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Federal Government of Iraq.

Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening relations between the UK and the Kurdistan Region. They also discussed the recent terrorist attack on the Khor Mor gas field, describing it as a destructive and dangerous act targeting the economic infrastructure of both the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

Relations between Erbil and Baghdad, ongoing disputes, and issues related to the reform and reorganisation of the Peshmerga were also addressed during the meeting.
