IHEC Elections Iraq

The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) has forwarded the final results of the Iraqi parliamentary elections, held on 11 November, to the Federal Supreme Court for ratification.

Speaking to PUKMEDIA, IHEC Spokesperson Jumana al-Ghalai said: “The IHEC sent the final election results to the Federal Supreme Court for ratification today, Monday 8 December 2025.”

The Supreme Judicial Council announced yesterday, Sunday, that the electoral judicial panel had completed its review of all appeals submitted against the election results, noting that a total of 853 appeals had been received.

The IHEC had initially published the final results on 17 November, covering both general and special voting, and allowed a three-day period for submitting appeals.

The commission also confirmed the disqualification of six candidates since the conclusion of the electoral process, acknowledging adjustments to the results and the allocation of seats.
