The United States' President Donald Trump has indicated that he will be personally involved in reviewing the proposed merger between Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery, raising questions over the future of one of the largest consolidation moves in Hollywood.

Trump expressed concern that the combined entity’s market share “could be a problem,” signalling potential scrutiny from regulators. He stopped short of threatening to block the merger outright, but his comments suggest he expects a thorough review process before any approval.

The deal, valued at approximately $72 billion, would grant Netflix control over Warner Bros’ extensive catalogue of television, film, and streaming assets, consolidating two major forces in the global entertainment market.
