PUK's Darbaz Kosrat Hosts Russian CG to Discuss Regional Developments

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul meets Maxim Rubin in Erbil.

Today, 10 March 2026, at the headquarters of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Erbil, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul received Maxim Rubin, the Russian Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, they discussed recent changes and complex developments in the region, including the ongoing war situation. Both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining stability, particularly within the Kurdistan Region.

The talks also covered efforts to form a new government in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, which remains a key topic in the ongoing political dialogue.
