Qubad Talabani Meets French Consul General to Discuss Post-Election Developments

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, met today, Thursday 20 November 2025, with Yann Braem, the French Consul General in the Kurdistan Region.

The discussions centred on the post-election situation in Iraq. Both sides underlined the importance of the new Iraqi Parliament and the incoming federal government addressing the unresolved issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad in a meaningful and lasting manner.

Qubad Talabani remarked: “Kurdish political parties must work together in Baghdad with shared visions, programmes and plans to safeguard the rights of the people of Kurdistan.”
