PUK President and Iraqi Prime Minister Exchange Congratulations on Election Victories

PUK President and Iraqi PM.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, Leader of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, spoke by telephone today to discuss the recent Iraqi parliamentary elections.

During the conversation, Prime Minister al-Sudani congratulated President Bafel on the PUK’s electoral achievements, highlighting the party’s success under his leadership. In response, President Bafel extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister on the Reconstruction and Development Coalition’s own victories.

The exchange reflects a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect between Iraq’s key political figures following the elections.
