Qubad Talabani: The PUK’s Door Remains Open, and Its Only Rival Is Itself

Qubad Talabani, member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s Political Bureau stated that the doors of the PUK is always open to those who were once misled, for they remain part of the PUK, just as the PUK is an inseparable part of their history and identity.

During a meeting with Peshmerga comrades, retired Peshmerga, and veteran fighters from Raparin, Talabani called on them to reconcile with those estranged from the PUK in the same spirit that unites the Peshmerga, and to encourage people to vote for the PUK. The current PUK is the very one they have always called for — the PUK the people look to with hope, and the one capable of resolving their challenges.

He emphasised that the PUK possesses a proud and distinguished history, as well as the power to persuade. Thus, the PUK’s only true rival is itself, as it strives for even greater victories in every election. “This time, together with these Peshmerga, fighters, and devoted supporters, we will undoubtedly achieve a remarkable triumph,” he said.
