Grand Unveiling of Late President Mam Jalal’s Statue in Kirkuk.
A statue of the late President Mam Jalal is set to be unveiled today, Wednesday, in a grand ceremony at the entrance to Kirkuk, marking a tribute to his enduring legacy.
Sculptor Saman Abubakr told PUKMEDIA that the idea for the statue came from the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal and received backing from Aso Mamand, Member of the PUK Political Bureau, Rebwar Taha, Governor of Kirkuk, and several members of the PUK Leadership Council.
Standing six metres tall, the statue took five months to complete, reflecting both artistic dedication and the significance of commemorating President Mam Jalal’s contributions to the Region.
The unveiling ceremony, scheduled for this afternoon, is expected to draw a large gathering of officials, PUK officials, and citizens, highlighting the respect and admiration for one of Kurdistan’s most prominent leaders.
