President Rashid Meets PUK Government Team in Baghdad.
The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, met in Baghdad with the government team of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), in the presence of Nizar Amedi, head of the PUK Political Bureau in Baghdad.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the wider region. The participants underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among state institutions in order to safeguard and advance the nation’s supreme interests.
The attendees highlighted Baghdad’s central and pivotal role in ensuring the stability of the country, stressing that the capital’s strength is an essential part of the strength of the Kurdistan Region. They affirmed that closer integration between the two sides represents a cornerstone for Iraq’s overall stability and progress.
The meeting also emphasised the need to redouble efforts to improve public services and living conditions for citizens, reaffirming that the wellbeing of the people remains the ultimate goal of all government policies.
