Qubad Talabani, campaign supervisor for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) List No. 222 in Erbil Constituency, affirmed that the current agreement between the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the federal government on salary payments is the outcome of persistent efforts and dialogue led by Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the PUK, in Baghdad.

Speaking to PUK supporters in the Kasnazan town of Erbil Governorate, Qubad Talabani stated: “Iraqi parties are openly acknowledging that President Bafel Jalal Talabani is following the approach of President Mam Jalal and is committed to addressing the concerns of the people of Kurdistan in Baghdad.”

He continued: “The PUK, under President Bafel Jalal Talabani's leadership, has taken substantial steps over recent years that have laid the foundation for a comprehensive solution to these issues. Therefore, in these elections, it is essential to bolster the PUK’s position to safeguard and strengthen the Kurdistan Region’s status in Baghdad.”
