PUK President: The PUK Will Be the Power of the People in Baghdad

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with the candidates of the PUK’s List No. 222 from all constituencies and governorates ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, in Qalachwalan, Sulaymaniyah.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Head of the PUK’s Protection Council of Higher Interests, Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the PUK, and Rizgar Haji Hama, Head of the Party’s Election Bureau.

President Bafel commended the dedication and enthusiasm of the PUK candidates, who are working diligently to ensure the party’s success and to communicate its mission of serving the people. He urged them to remain close to the public and to serve them with even greater zeal.

President Bafel stated: “It is our duty and responsibility to work together with our people for a brighter future. As we have always said, the only force capable of defending citizens’ rights in Baghdad is undoubtedly the PUK. We will be the power of the people in Baghdad.”
