PUK Politburo Member Qubad Talabani among the martyrs' families.
Qubad Talabani, member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with the proud relatives of the martyrs in Erbil, reaffirming that “the PUK is your power, and the families of the martyrs have more rights over the PUK than anyone else.”
During the meeting, Talabani expressed his deep respect and appreciation for the families’ enduring loyalty and sacrifices, emphasising that the PUK is, above all, the party of the martyrs and the people who gave everything for the cause of freedom and justice.
“I was greatly impressed by the loyalty and dedication shown by the proud relatives of the martyrs towards the success of the PUK,” Talabani said. “Together, we discussed the PUK’s pivotal and decisive role in resolving issues and realising the constitutional rights of the Kurdish people.”
He further stressed that strengthening the position of the Kurdistan Region, improving the living standards of its people, and resolving outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Baghdad require greater support for the PUK.
“We must all work together to strengthen the PUK and ensure its success,” Talabani concluded.
