PUK VP’s meeting with PUK’s media teams for eupcoming elections.

Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with the media teams of election centres in Sulaymaniyah, where he reviewed their current responsibilities and the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

The meeting, attended by PUK Leadership Council members Latif Nerweyi and Zyad Jabar, saw Abdullah stress the significance of the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections. He underlined that the PUK has made thorough preparations to ensure the Kurdish voice is stronger and more visible in Baghdad, acting responsibly to earn citizens’ trust and defend the constitutional rights of the Kurdistan Region.

Abdullah also drew attention to the increasing role of technology and the media—particularly social media—highlighting the need for media staff to adapt to these platforms and use them effectively to convey the PUK’s programmes and policies to the widest possible audience.
