Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the National Wisdom Movement, in Baghdad for talks on domestic and regional developments and preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Both sides emphasised the need to strengthen stability across the security, political and economic spheres, while stepping up efforts to provide services that meet citizens’ aspirations.

They also reviewed preparations for the elections, underlining the importance of holding them successfully and transparently, in line with the highest standards of integrity.
