Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid's meeting with Asayish Chairman Hiwa Ahmed and Zanyari Agenc

Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received on Monday, 15 September 2025, at the Baghdad Palace, Jalal Sheikh Naji, Head of the Parastin and Zanyari / Zanyari Agency of the Kurdistan Region, and Hiwa Ahmed, Head of the Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish).

The discussions focused on the security situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq more broadly. The participants stressed the importance of safeguarding citizens’ security and interests, while advancing security and intelligence efforts to strengthen stability across the Kurdistan Region.

They also commended the sacrifices of the security and the Asayish forces in combating crime and terrorism.
