PUK Vice President Meets Veteran Peshmergas Ahead of Iraqi Elections

Rifaat Abdullah’s meeting with veteran Peshmergas.

Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), accompanied by Ziad Jabar, a member of the PUK Leadership Council, visited the Association of Veteran Peshmergas of the PUK.

During the meeting, the VP provided guidance and clarifications to comrades regarding the forthcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections.

In his remarks, Rifaat Abdullah expressed hope that the veteran Peshmergas, who stood firm during the most difficult days of the struggle, would now play an equally vital role in this democratic phase. He called on them to actively contribute to the campaign, supporting the PUK’s success and becoming, as he described, “the Peshmergas of the future.”
