PUK’s Darbaz Kosrat and British CG Stress Dialogue to Resolve Erbil–Baghdad Issues

Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Head of the Relations Bureau and Member of the Political Bureau, underlined the importance of resolving disputes between Erbil and Baghdad through dialogue.

On Tuesday, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul met with Andrew Bizley, the British Consul General in the Kurdistan Region, where they discussed a range of issues of mutual concern.

Both sides emphasised that outstanding matters between Erbil and Baghdad should be addressed through dialogue and mutual understanding in line with the Constitution. They also spoke about safeguarding Kurdish rights in areas outside the Kurdistan Region.

Commenting on political affairs and regional developments, Darbaz Kosrat Rasul said: “We agreed that the unity of political forces and parties, founded on coexistence and respect for differing views, is the guarantee of security and peace in the country.”
