PUK’s Darbaz Kosrat meets Ali Rıza Güney.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, Member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Relations Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Ambassador Ali Rıza Güney, Director General for Iraq and Iran Affairs at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, along with his accompanying delegation.
Also present at the meeting were Rzgar Haji Hama, Head of the PUK Elections Bureau, and Erman Topçu, Consul General of Türkiye in the Kurdistan Region. Discussions focused on the forthcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections, the salary question, and the resolution of issues between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad within the framework of the Constitution.
Darbaz Kosrat Rasul emphasised that the PUK is working to foster Kurdish unity both in the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, with the aim of establishing a government that genuinely serves the people and safeguards their rights.
The talks also addressed progress in the peace process and the matter of reopening Sulaymaniyah International Airport.
