KRG Deputy PM Qubad Talabani's meeting with Christoph Prommersberger, Charge d’Affaires of the Dutch
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, received Christoph Prommersberger, Charge d’Affaires of the Dutch Embassy in Iraq, to discuss ways of further developing bilateral relations.
During the meeting, held on Monday, 1 September 2025, Deputy PM Talabani expressed gratitude to the Dutch government for its assistance to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in recent years, particularly in the fields of agriculture, the food industry, capacity development, and entrepreneurship. He also expressed hope that Dutch assistance to the Kurdistan Region would continue in the future.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that relations with the Dutch government are of great importance to the KRG and underlined the need to expand cooperation across multiple sectors, with particular focus on trade, agriculture, and capacity development.
Deputy PM Talabani further noted that the Kurdistan Region is undergoing a stage of economic development and called on Dutch investors and companies to participate in this process. He reassured that the KRG is ready to provide all necessary facilities to support investment and economic collaboration.
