PUK President Reaffirms Support for Türkiye’s Peace Process

PUK President meets CHP’s Deputy Chairman in Sulaymaniyah.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), welcomed Namik Tan, Deputy Chairman of Türkiye’s Republican People’s Party (CHP), at the Political Bureau headquarters in Sulaymaniyah.
During the meeting, attended by Political Bureau members Qubad Talabani and Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, the two sides discussed the historic ties between the two parties and explored ways to further strengthen them.
President Bafel reaffirmed the PUK’s commitment to supporting the peace process in Türkiye, stating: “In line with President Mam Jalal’s policy, we are determined to ensure the success of this national effort and to revive the spirit of unity and brotherhood among the nations of the region.”
For his part, the CHP Deputy Chairman praised President Mam Jalal’s influential role in the region and expressed hope that these constructive efforts within the framework of the peace process would pave the way for the reopening of Sulaymaniyah International Airport.
