Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), extended a congratulatory message to the President, Vice Presidents, the leadership, members, and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of its founding.

The PUK President's message to the KDP read:

On the occasion of the seventy-ninth anniversary of the establishment of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, I extend my sincerest congratulations to you, the Vice-Presidents, the leadership, members, and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and wish you success.

On this anniversary, we reaffirm the necessity of coordination and unity between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and all Kurdish political forces and parties in pursuit of working together, and shouldering our national and decisive responsibilities, strengthen our status, as well as improving the lives of our beloved people.
