PUK Political Bureau Reaffirms the Necessity of Unity Among Kurdish Parties

The Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) extended a congratulatory message to the Political Bureau, members, and supporters of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of its founding.

The PUK Political Bureau's message said: "On the occasion of the seventy-ninth anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, we convey our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to your leadership, members, and supporters."

The statement emphasised the need for unity among the Kurdish political forces, stating: "On this anniversary, we reaffirm the necessity of unity and cooperation among all Kurdistani political forces—particularly between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party—to ensure the establishment of a capable and credible government that can advance reform, realign the course of governance by upholding the will of our people and ensuring the accomplishment of their constitutional rights and entitlements in Iraq—particularly with regard to salaries and financial dues—ahead of the next parliamentary elections."
