Qubad Talabani receives Halabja Governor.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, welcomed Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih.
During what was described as a “very good and positive” meeting, discussions centred on the province’s needs and priorities, and on establishing a new roadmap to better serve Halabja.
The Governor outlined in detail the province’s demands and challenges, and expressed gratitude to Qubad Talabani for his continued support and assistance to Halabja and its people, noting that he has always emphasised the importance of caring for the province. On several occasions, the Deputy Prime Minister has pledged to resolve the problems and restart stalled projects. This meeting is regarded as an important and practical step towards honouring those commitments and turning the plans into reality, with the aim of ensuring that Halabja secures its rightful share of prosperity.
One of the key outcomes was an agreement to draft a new joint plan for the next phase of Halabja province. The plan will focus on developing vital sectors such as the economy, tourism, agriculture, and industry, with the aim of revitalising the province and creating more job opportunities for its citizens.
