Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih's meeting with CBI Representative Nabeel al-Najar and his accompanying

Halabja Governor Nuxsha Nasih met on Monday, 28 July 2025, with Nabeel al-Najjar, representative of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI), along with an accompanying delegation, to explore the launch of a comprehensive financial initiative in the province and the opening of several new Central Bank branches.

During the meeting, the two sides agreed to organise an expanded banking conference and exhibition aimed at promoting a culture of electronic payment and broadening the availability of financial services in Halabja.

Both parties emphasised the significance of the initiative in supporting the local economy and improving citizens’ access to digital banking services.

They also reaffirmed that this step would provide a strong foundation for the development of Halabja’s economic infrastructure and investment landscape, and will also open new opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs to implement key projects in the province.
