Monday, 28 July 2025 — Oil prices rose modestly on Monday, supported by renewed optimism over global trade developments.

Brent crude increased by 0.29%, reaching $68.64 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed 0.23% to $65.31 per barrel.

The gains follow progress in U.S.–EU trade talks and ongoing negotiations between the U.S. and China aimed at easing tariff tensions. However, the market’s upward momentum remains capped by expectations that OPEC+ will raise production in September by approximately 280,000 barrels per day.

Analysts say market sentiment remains cautiously optimistic as traders balance geopolitical developments with supply expectations.
