Iraqi, UAE Presidents Discuss Regional Stability and Shared Priorities

In a focused exchange on regional challenges and shared priorities, Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid held a telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss recent developments and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, the Iraqi Presidency reported on Friday, 27 June 2025.
According to a statement by the Iraqi Presidency, their discussion reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing relations between Iraq and the UAE in a manner that reflects the aspirations of both peoples and contributes to enhancing security and stability across the region.
The statement added that both leaders underscored the importance of de-escalation and the pursuit of peaceful, diplomatic resolutions to regional crises. They agreed that dialogue remains the most effective means of reinforcing stability both regionally and globally, and expressed support for continued coordination and joint efforts in the pursuit of peace.
