Oil prices saw a modest rise today as markets reacted to a tentative ceasefire between Iran and Israel, easing immediate concerns over potential supply disruptions in the region.

Brent crude climbed by 1.3% to approximately $67.99 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) increased by 1.4%, trading around $65.24. The gains follow recent downward pressure fuelled by robust output from OPEC+ nations and continued signs of soft global demand.

Market analysts remain cautious, warning that the geopolitical situation could shift quickly.

Meanwhile, higher-than-expected US oil stockpiles and sustained production levels are keeping prices in check. Investors are also monitoring upcoming decisions from OPEC+ and broader economic indicators that could influence demand expectations.

Despite today’s rebound, oil remains near multi-week lows, reflecting ongoing uncertainty in both geopolitical and economic outlooks.
