Iraqi President Urges National Unity in Eid al-Adha Message

The President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, extended his congratulations to the Iraqi people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha on Thursday, while emphasising the importance of strengthening national unity.

In a post on the X platform, President Rashid said: “My warmest congratulations and blessings to our people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.”

He continued: “On this special occasion, we once again call for the reinforcement of national unity, the overcoming of challenges through a spirit of brotherhood and patriotism, and continued efforts to strengthen security and stability, while improving the country’s economic and public services. This demands that everyone take responsibility within their respective roles.”

President Rashid added: “We pray to God that this Eid will be a joyful one, filled with safety, peace, and prosperity, and that it brings goodness and blessings to all.”
